Cobar Pony Club held their annual camp last weekend after it was previously postponed in the October School Holidays due to wet weather.

Although it turned out to be quite hot and windy, there was a fantastic turnout of 22 riders in total, four of which travelled from Bourke.

Riders were led by guest instructors, Guy Wiseman from Dubbo (Reining), Brianna Peet from Wagga Wagga (Eventing) and were also treated to a great horsemanship demonstration from local handler Joe Hughes and his daughter Lauren from 4BP Horses, who brought their star attraction “Lanky” the Brumby.

The club also had many of their own instructors working with riders and horses.

On the Sunday morning, a Gymkhana with a fun twist was held. With the club now having a beautiful new colour range of ribbons, competitors were able to choose their own ribbon colour for the place they came.

There was a large number of helpers that did their part to make the weekend a great success.
