Plenty of goal scoring skills on show in high scoring games

High scoring games were played out in all divisions of the Cobar Junior Soccer Club’s competition on Saturday at Ward Oval.

In the Minis games, Pitch Pirates won their match 8-2 against Cornish Dragons with Archer Fugar scoring seven goals for Pitch Pirates and Mason Hill added their other. For the Cornish Dragons, Henry Thompson and Trip Ackerley were responsible for a goal each.

Raging Rhinos defeated Orange Rovers 3-0 in their game with all three Raging Rhinos goals coming from the boot of Noah Seymour.

The match between Sky Strikers and Purple Wanderers ended in a nil-all draw.

In the Mids competition, Black Knights had a 6-1 win over Maroon Rangers.

Tom Preisig scored five goals for his Black Knights team and their other goal was booted in by Eligh Ritter.

Ashlee Compton netted Maroon Rangers lone goal.

The Sharks just got the better of Bengal Tigers to win 4-3 in their Mids match up.

The Sharks’ goals came from Judd Josephson (3) and Ralph Beshman while Mark McBride (2) and Xavier Foster scored for their Bengal Tigers team.

In the other Mids game, Redbacks defeated Polar bears 3-1.

Redbacks’ goals came from Joseph Theakston, Austin Kane and Edwin Palma while Josh McMillan was Polar Bears’ goal scorer.

In the Seniors division, Mill Rats won their match 7-3 over Rock Apes.

Mill Rats’ goals were scored by Jasmine Livingston (2), Ben Bray (2), Isaac Theakston, Sienna Jones and Parker Cryer while two of Rock Apes’ goals were netted by Johhny Mckay and Caleb Theakston was responsible for the Rock Apes’ other goal…Full report in this week’s edition out now!
