Lovely weather for a sleigh ride together

With the temperature a very pleasant 21 degrees on Friday for the Cobar Business
Association’s annual Christmas Street Parade & Gala Shopping Night, it most definitely was “lovely weather for a sleigh ride together” on the Garford Fire Engine for Santa, Mrs Claus, their grand-elf Sofia and her dad Deputy Fire Captain Alex Lennon. Santa once again had the honour of leading the parade which attracted 15 different groups. Best in Parade was Running On Empty Festival’s Santa’s Garage, with the Margaret’s Choice Parade Spirit award shared by Graham Harbison’s Bush Christmas, the Baptist Church’s Nativity Scene and the Cobar Junior Rugby League’s ‘Chooks’. The annual event aims to promote shopping locally. See more photos from the night on Page 2.
