Swimmers from Cobar’s three schools will be competing at Sydney Olympic Park over the next few weeks representing their schools at State swimming carnivals.
St John’s Primary School has four students competing today at the Catholic Schools Polding and Mackillop Championships including: 12 year old Ruby-Belle Stingemore (50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle); nine year old Jair Apaza (50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle); 11 year old Noah Lynch (50m Backstroke); and Luke Giurin will be competing in the 10 year boys 50m Breaststroke swim for St John’s.
Starting on Sunday Cobar High’s Makaila Gordon will be competing in the 16 years girls 100m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke, 100m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle events representing her school at the Combined High Schools Swimming Championships.
Next Thursday Cobar Public School’s Raymond Jones heads to State to compete in the 11 years boys 50m Butterfly and 50m Backstroke events.
