The Inter Mine Golf Challenge, scheduled for this Saturday, may be in doubt if the forecast of one to five millimetres of rain on both Thursday and Saturday happen to fall.
Like the previous weekend, only the front six holes were open on Saturday and Sunday as the back half of the course was still deemed unplayable.
Many games have had to be rescheduled including the Mixed Championships and the KENO two lady Ambrose qualifying round.
Both games have been moved to August.
Another casualty was the Ladies’ Pennants final in Trangie which hopefully will go ahead this Friday depending on the weather … again.
Saturday’s wild windy conditions didn’t deter Susan Goonrey from posting a 74 net winning score.
Fay Hardwick was the runner-up on 78 net and Sally Bannister had 79 net.
The ‘putting queens’ were Hardwick and Bannister in A Grade with 27 putts each, Fran Samios (28) in B Grade and Goonrey (30) for C Grade…for more golf news see this week’s edition.
