Local farmers party with Nollsy

Shannon Noll was a big hit with the more than 800 concert goers at the Night for Our Farmers event on Saturday at Tom Knight Memorial Oval. Organiser Sheena Geppert said the whole event ran very smoothly thanks to a lot of help from volunteers and sponsors. She praised the support of major sponsor Peak Gold Mines and the 37 other local and regional businesses who provided financial support, goods and services for the event. “I think the night really lifted the spirits of the farmers and got them out and talking about something other than the drought,” Sheena said. “It was great to have Shannon here, with his rural background and someone who knows first hand what it’s like to hit rock bottom but has bounced back.”
