Dancing Under the Stars has again proved a popular local fundraising event with a sell-out crowd packing Cobar Bowling & Golf Club on Saturday night to help raise $16,000 for local charities. Renee Matheson and her partner Callum Sinclair wowed the crowd with their energetic routine to an eight-minute medley of Britney Spears hits, taking the coveted mirror ball trophy home after scoring the best with the judges.Mel Manns and Wade Potter took out the trophy for highest fundraisers . The funds raised from the night will go towards the ANZAC memorial project for Drummond Park and the Mayoral Chest, which supports locals diagnosed with cancer. Other couples who danced the night away included Anita Hodgkinson and Pat Bourgault, John de Bruin and Tehgan Foley and newlyweds Matthew and Lindsay Klopper while Callum Sinclair and Eden Coughlan performed an exhibition dance and all the dancers took to the floor for a Star Wars themed number.
