Little League Stars debut

Cobar Junior Rugby League’s Little League Stars pilot program kicked off on
Sunday morning at Tom Knight Memorial Oval. Parents, Peta Woods (pictured above with some of the Little League Stars on Sunday) and Ally Pearson have
completed their accredited training to run the 10 week course. The program is a play-based introduction to footy, with the early childhood development program
welcoming 3-5 year olds of all abilities and skill levels. The program is full with 30 boys and girls already registered. The kids were divided into four groups on Sunday and rotated through a range of different activities that taught them the basic
fundamentals of rugby league including catching and passing, handling the ball, kicking off a tee, putting the ball down over the line, taking a tap, and running with the ball. The program has been sponsored by Aurelia Metals and JnB Industries.
