Lilliane Brady Village’s director of nursing Sharon Huon is thrilled with the new extensions to the nursing home with residents now able to use four new rooms and a new combined lounge/chapel area in the west wing. The extensions are part of the Cobar Health Service redevelopment project and include four single rooms with ensuites which gives residents more privacy and their own personal spaces. “The rooms have modern fittings, modern neutral colours and lovely big windows,” Mrs Huon said. “Each has their own TV and internet connections, and adjustable heating and cooling which can be set to suit each individual.” She said work is continuing on remodelling other rooms along with the construction of 10 more units in the new eastern section of the building and is on track to be completed in the next few months.
