The COVID restrictions have affected this weekend’s scheduled 2021 Ladies Golf 27 hole Club Championships with the event now to be postponed to a date to be fixed by the match committee, which will be as soon as can be arranged.
COVID safe competition games went ahead last week with Robynne Morton the winner of Wednesday’s stableford on a countback from Geraldine Francisco after each scored 35 points.
The best putting on the greens was done by Fay Hardwick and Geraldine Francisco with 26 putts each.
There were some good scores and broken handicaps in Saturday’s Par round which was won by Daphne Cross on +5.
Close behind were Fran Samios (+4), Barb Barklimore (+3) and Sue Phillips on +2.
Fay Hardwick was Sunday’s Stroke winner on 70 net. Geraldine Francisco was the runner-up with 72 net followed by Barb Barklimore (74) and Sally Bannister with 75.
Today will be a Stroke game with a Stable-ford to be played on Saturday.
A Stableford Multiplier, select own partner (+, x, best) is on Sunday.
Ladies are asked to make sure they have their partner lined up for this game in advance.—T’d Off
