Jimmy gets the jab

Jimmy Neyland rolled up his sleeve on Friday for a COVID vaccination with nurse Lisa Travis at the Cobar Health Service. Staff carried out 282 vaccinations at Friday’s clinic adding to the 151 vaccinations they administered to local residents last month. Health Service Manager Mary Urquhart reports a cross section of the community from 18 year olds, to mums and dads, and seniors (one of whom was 89) lined up last week for their AstraZeneca shots. The next opportunity for locals to get vaccinated will be next week at the Western NSW Local Health District/Australian Defence Force pop-up clinics at the Cobar Youth & Fitness Centre from Monday September 6 through to Wednesday September 8.
