Jacobson couldn’t put a foot wrong

Bianka Jacobson couldn’t put a foot wrong in her Mixed Indoor Soccer game last Wednesday night at the youth centre.

Jacobson was unstoppable in front of the goal and netted five goals to contribute 10 points (female goals are worth double points) to her Man Chest Hair United (MCHU) team’s 18-2 win over Peakaroos.

Jacobson found the back of the net three times in the first half with team mate Jade Buckman also scoring to give their side a comfortable 7-2 lead over Peakaroos at the break.

Jacobson then scored two more times during the second half and, with team mates Shannon Purton (two goals), Josh Brown (1) and own goals (2), they finished with the big tally of 18.

Peakaroos’ points came from a goal each to Scott Brown and Jack Tulloh.

Jacobson and Brown were named their team’s best and fairest players.

There were plenty of point scoring opportunities in the late game last week also.

Up until half time Never Inbetweeners and CSA were evenly matched before Never Inbetweeners finished strongly to claim a 10-6 win.

Two goals by Michela Cartner (worth four points), two to Kody Martin and one goal each by Marc Cummins and Nick Buckman, plus two own goals contributed to their tally of 10.

The game’s Best and Fairest Male, CSA’s German Peres, found the back of the net three times and a goal to Georgia Wilson (worth two points) and one to Pedro Quinteros made up their total of six points.

Michela Cartner was awarded the female Best and Fairest points.
