Improvements at rugby club

Following a very profitable ‘Goat Drive’ fundraiser, the Cobar & District Rugby Union Club has been able to install a new irrigation system at Ailsa Fitsimmons Memorial Oval. A water filter and timer system to automate the watering of the oval and grounds was recently completed. With water being one of the club’s biggest expenses, the new system will significantly reduce their annual water costs. Pictured above is club president Stephen Gillette with the new system.
