High scoring games played out in soccer competition

Some of the Cobar Junior Soccer Club Mids awards winners on Saturday: Joshua McMillan, Sophie Beer, Callum Bennett and Nixon Small.

Some high scoring games were played out in the Cobar Junior Soccer Club competi-tion last Saturday, with a total of 41 goals scored over the three divisions.
In the Mini’s competition, 19 goals were netted from their three games.
Rovers won their match 5-2 over Chelsea with Rovers’ goals scored by Ford Ellison (3) and Nash Cartner (2) while both of Chelsea’s goals were netted by Leo Neale.
In their game, Rangers defeated Wanderers 4-0 with Tom Geppert (2) and Liam Peatey (2) the game’s goal scorers.
United won their match 5-3 over Liverpool with Logan McKenzie netting all five of Unit-ed’s goals.
For Liverpool, Joe Arnold scored twice and Maddox Best scored their other goal.
The Mini’s Milkshakes Awards went to Levi Mackay, Jack Preisig, Darcy Geppert, Michael Arnold, Ibrahim Faisal and Joe Ar-nold.
Nash Cartner, Leo Neale, Liam Peatey, Ethan Jebb, Lila Beer and Maddox Best col-lected the Cobar Hotbake Donut Awards.
In the Mids division games, Liverpool had it all their way to win 8-0 over Rangers.
Tom Preisig (4), Nixon Small (3) and Joshua Ho Wing (1) were the goal scorers.
United had the upper hand in their match with Rovers winning 5-0.
Goals were netted by Henry Geppert (2), Joshua Gillette (2) and Jack Geppert (1).
The Mids Gumnut Milkshake Awards went to Joshua McMillan, Callum Bennett, Edwin Palma and Joshua Gillette.
Sophie Beer, Nixon Small, Jax Claus and Janayah Kearns took home the Cobar Hotbake Donut Awards.
The Seniors game was a close contest with Spurs coming out on top 5-4 over Rangers.
Jeremy Theakston (3) and Isaac Theakston (2) scored goals for Spurs while Jayden Cryer, Fraser Talu, Jacob Theakston and Jade Buck-man found the back of the net for Rangers.
The Gumnut Milkshake Awards in the Sen-iors division went to Jeremy Theakston and Fraser Talu.
