The warm sunshine was welcomed by players for Round 2 of the Cobar Netball Association seniors competition on Saturday with the clear day ensuring that all of the four scheduled games could be completed.
Divas once again finished with another big tally on Saturday after winning their Round 2 game 73-15 over Gumnuts.
Cheryl Peatey was best on court for Divas with Gumnuts well served by Lexie Traynor.
Pumpettes finished with a 58-47 win over Hot Shots in what was the closest game of the round. Pumpettes’ defender Joanne Carter and Hot Shots’ shooter Alanna De Vries were stand-outs for their respective teams.
Real Steel played well to defeat JKM 46-24.
Nicola Harbison shot well to help real Steel to their win while Zoe Anderson was best on court for the new look JKM team this season.
Sharpe Shooters experience saw them to a
40-9 win over the new side in the competition, the Mid Strength Merinos.
Shannon Eves, playing in Wing Attack for Sharpe Shooters, served her side well while Shara Haagsma, shooting and playing Centre, was a stand-out on the court for the Mid Strength Merinos.
This week Gumnuts take on the Mid Strength Merinos; Pumpettes will play JKM; Divas will meet Hot Shots; and Real Steel play Sharpe Shooters.
