Cobar’s junior representative netball teams have been given a boost with the donation of equipment and uniforms under a new Netball NSW ‘Sister City Association’ arrangement with the Newcastle Netball Association. The agreement aims to help smaller rural clubs with things like umpire/coaching accreditation. The Cobar juniors have recently received some second-hand balls and uniforms from the Newcastle Netball Association. Club president Bethany Thomas said they are yet to meet with the Newcastle committee to discuss other ways where they can help.
