Two more truckloads of free hay, courtesy of the Hamilton community in Victoria, arrived at Ward Oval on Saturday afternoon to be distributed to local farmers. Mayor Lilliane Brady and council staff volunteered their time to help unload the hay along with local contractor Ben Broughton. Cobar Shire has been working with the Lions Club District 201N4 to get more donated hay for Cobar landholders. Council’s general manager Peter Vlatko advises that any local farmers who would like to receive a Lions Club donation will need to first register at the needforfeed.org website and fill out an application form for assistance.
