Good results for Cobar juniors in Round 4 of competition

Cobar’s and South Dubbo’s Under 16s rugby league teams played a thriller of a game on Saturday at Apex Oval in Dubbo.

Their Dubbo & District Junior Rugby League competition Round 3 match finished in a 28-all draw.

Jackson Muldoon scored two tries for Cobar with team mates Billy George, Rowdy Barton, Lachlan Brookman and Drew Barton also crossing for a try each.

Lachlan added an extra four points to Cobar’s tally with his two successful conversions which helped to earn him the Players’ Player award as voted by his team mates.

Tom Francisco collected the Coaches Award.

Rowdy Barton (two points) and Jackson Muldoon (one point) shared in the referee’s Best & Fairest points along with South Dubbo’s Benji Marr, who collected the game’s three points.

Cobar Under 12s also played South Dubbo at Apex Oval on Saturday while the Roosters Under 11s and Under 10s sides took on their St John’s Maroon counterparts.

All three matches were uncontested games.

The Roosters Under 12s Subway Players Player award went to George Wainiqolo while Alfie Toomey earned the Coaches Award.

In the Under 11s game, Ashton Campbell was named the Roosters’ Players Player and the Coaches Award went to Brad Hampton.

In Under 10s, Tate Stephens earned the Sportsmanship award and Maddox Best collected the Subway Players Player award.
