Golfie gives generously to local groups

There were smiles all round on Monday afternoon when the Cobar Bowling and Golf Club handed out ClubGRANTS funding worth over $19,000 to 14 groups. Cobar Men’s and Ladies Golf, Cobar Yabbies Senior Men’s Swimming Club, Copper City Men’s Shed, Cobar Men’s and Ladies Bowls, Cobar Rural Outback Animal Respite (ROAR), Cobar 221 Army Cadet Unit,
Rotary Club of Cobar, Cobar Junior Rugby League, Cobar Outside School Hours Service (COOSH), Cobar Swimming Club, The Cobar Weekly and the Little Wings Children’s Hospital Flight Program were this year’s recipients. The ClubGRANTS
program has been established since 1998 to ensure registered clubs in NSW with profits over $1million contribute financial or in-kind support to local community services, programs, and projects.
