Full Tilt were at top speed to win

Full Tilt, a new team in the Opens Touch competition this season, had a good 11-4 win in their Round 6 match last week with Rock Dogs, another new team to the competition. ▪ Contributed

Full Tilt were at top speed in their Round 6 Touch Opens match on Thursday night to finish with a big 11-4 win over Rock Dogs.

They shared the scoring around with seven of their players landing tries.

Maddie Bruce scored a double contributing four points to Full Tilt’s total (as female tries were worth double points).

Damon Bruce, Hamish Adlington, Jack Rogers, Jackson Cox, Myah Sullivan and Scott Evans also touched down for a try each for Full Tilt.

Rock Dogs’ try scorers were Braden Read (2), Ed Paul and Jack Fazulla.

Jackson, Braden and Maddie shared the referee’s Best & Fairest points.

Mako’s asserted their dominance of the competition with a convincing 6-2 win over another of the competition’s top teams, Blossoms.

Jack Brown led the scoring for Mako’s with two tries with Brianna Watson, Tim Woods and Tim Hillam also crossing for a try each for Mako’s.

Jackson Muldoon and Rowdy Barton scored the Blossoms’ two points.

Jack, Brianna and Kai Taylor (Blossoms) shared B&F points.

The match between Fast Fades and Phat Athletes ended in a 9-all draw.

Trailing by a point at half time, 5-6, two second half female tries scored by Phat Athletes’ Amie Hill and Rhylee Patterson helped to even the score by full time.

Chloe Griffiths (2) and Mitch Shields also contributed to Phat Athletes’ tally.

Points for Fast Fades came from two tries each to Billy George and Sam Best and one each to Abbey Farrell, Daniel Dean, Slade Neale and Aiden Porter.

Slade earned the referee’s B&F points along with Phat Athletes’ Andrew Hill and Bianka Jacobson.

Rusty Snails were too good for Gun N Hoses winning their game last week 13-5.

Jason Kershaw and Mark McBride (with three tries each), led the scoring for their Rusty Snails team, Michela Foster crossed twice and Holly Watt and Nathan Prince scored a try each also.

Parker Cryer ran in three tries for Guns N Hoses and Pearl Blackburn added the extras with her two-point try.

Jason and Mark, along with Alora Deppeler (Guns N Hoses), collected B&F points.

Concrete Cowboys had an easy 19-7 win over Kiss my pass.

Rori Urquhart (3), Taylah Good (2), Kai Greenwood (2) and five other players touched down for tries for the Cowboys.

Concrete Cowboys’ Zac Broughton and James Anderson shared in the match’s B&F points with Isabelle Gillette (Kiss my pass).
