The highlight of the weekend for bowls at the Golfie was the championship triples semi final between Allan Knight, David Knight and Greg Read who came up against Kyle Roberts, Don Roberts and Doug Hudson.
Although Team Roberts were the favourites going into the game, Team Knight/Read (the Old Guns) were at the top of their game from the get-go.
They continuously won end after end (by an average of two shots or more) which led to a great result of a +15 win.
The win now takes the Old Guns through to the final where they will come up against the ‘Young Guns’ team of Alec Fraser, Mark Fraser and Jay Egan…full report in this week’s edition out now!
