Engaging local youth

Cobar Health Council members Stephen Dutton, Bernie Martin, Mary Urquhart and Gordon Hill at last week’s health council meeting. Mrs Urquhart said at the meeting the committee discussed ways to involve Cobar’s younger demographic in local health decisions. The committee has decided to approach Cobar High School with the view of meeting with the school’s Student Representative Council in an effort to identify what local health issues effect 12-18 year olds. Mrs Urquhart said engaging local youth will be the council’s main goal over the next few months. ▪ Contributed
