Emergency services pay their respects

Local emergency services personnel came together on Monday at 5pm to pay their respects to the four Victorian police
officers killed in an accident on a Melbourne freeway last month. Cobar’s Police, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Fire &
Rescue NSW fire-fighters along with Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service personnel all lined Barton Street from
the Police Station to the Fire Station with their vehicles and observed a minute’s silence in remembrance of Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Glen Humphris and Constable Josh Prestney. RFS Far West Team District Officer and former Highway Patrol Officer, Greg Martin, organised the local tribute saying as emergency
services officers they all understand how dangerous it is working out on roads at incidents. “We also wanted to pay our respects to the fallen officers, their families and colleagues,” Mr Martin said
