Eleven year old Sienna will chop off her locks for charity

Sienna Campbell will be shaving her head tomorrow afternoon as part of the World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser.

Cobar Public School (CPS) student Sienna Campbell will have her head shaved tomor-row as part of the World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser.
“I have decided to shave my hair so I can raise awareness and help people with blood cancer,” the 11 year old told The Cobar Week-ly.
Sienna’s mum, Courtney said Sienna’s grandparents on both sides of their family have had leukemia while Sienna’s nan was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019.
As a result of her nan’s chemotherapy treat-ment, she lost her hair.
Courtney said Sienna is “super excited” about shaving her hair to help people like her grandparents, but also a bit nervous.
She is however very excited about being able to help others by raising money and also donat-ing her hair to a sustainable salon to have a wig made (that will help others who have lost their hair to chemotherapy).
Sienna’s school mates are supporting her and last week CPS held a Crazy Hair Day which raised $235.
Sienna’s goal was to reach $3,000 and as of lunch time yesterday, she had exceeded that and her total at the time of going to print was $3,025.30
Her locks get the chop tomorrow afternoon at Olivia’s Hair Lounge and by tomorrow night Sienna will be sporting a very short No 2 or No 3 hairstyle.
