Good weather and a reasonable number of members turned up for the Cobar Amateur Pistol Club’s official competition event last Sunday.
The event was a Centrefire/Sports pistol competition over 25 Metres, under the guidance of Range Officer John Stingemore.
The Wizard Award was won by Robert Neate, who won easily without breaking his handicap from Mick Garbutt only four points behind, with Chris Johnson another 24 points further back.
In each of the six disciplines, Neate scored in excess of 85 points or more out of a possible 100, for a total of 533 off pistol which earned him the Off Pistol Trophy.
Garbutt was in second place and Johnson was again in third place.
