The Cobar Respiratory Clinic, which opened in May 2020 in Harcourt Street as part
of a collaborative response to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, is no longer in operation
with the Department of Health making the decision to close the clinic at the end of last
year. The Cobar Primary Health Care Centre coordinated the clinic. CPHCC practice
manager Tarun Bheemireddy advised the centre was committed to providing ongoing
care and they will continue to provide the community with COVID vaccinations. Part
of the role of the clinic was to also provide COVID testing. PCR and RAT tests will
now only be carried out on a case by case basis as determined by a doctor.
