The Cobar Christian Churches held a Welcome to Cobar event at the Cobar Shire Library on Tuesday night with Cobar Shire Mayor Jarrod Marsden joining other local residents to officially welcome 11 new people to town. Organiser Anglican Church’s Reverend James Daymond said it was an opportunity for new residents to find out what goes on, what services are offered, what sports are played, and what other social and community activities take place.
