A group of 17 Cobar lawn bowlers from the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club travelled to Hillston for their Summer Pairs competition on Saturday.
From the group, Mark Fraser, Gerard Livingston and John Daly all made the semi finals playing with their team mates from Hillston.
Fraser (who is more well known for his golfing prowess) and his Hillston Skip, Noel Graham, ended the event as outright winners.
The Cobar players didn’t get much of a chance to practice before the event with the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club greens currently being out of action for maintenance.
The club advises the rejuvenation work on the greens should be completed soon and competitions and social bowls are expected to re-commence later this month. —The Second
