Cobar gets behind Home Stay

Cobar Health Service staff Ellen Garbutt (RN) and Angela Fryer (Hotel Services) recently boxed up a donation of non-perishable grocery items collected by hospital staff and community members to be delivered to Macquarie Home Stay in Dubbo. The Cobar community make up a large number of the occupants who use the Home Stay facilities. The initiative is part of Cobar Hospital staff’s Feel Good Friday campaign and shows their support for the facility which provides short-term accommodation for patients and their families or carers who have travelled to use the Dubbo Hospital services. Among the users from Cobar have been expectant mothers, day surgery patients and people requiring hospital treatment who may require accommodation immediately prior to or post admission. ▪ Photo contributed
