The Cobar Swimming Club celebrated a
successful 2024/2025 season with presentations
and an annual general meeting at the
Cobar Bowling & Golf Club on Sunday.
With a strong turnout of members, families,
and supporters, the event highlighted a season
of growth, achievement, and community
spirit.
This season had 63 registered swimmers,
with many showing remarkable improvement
in their skills and confidence.
The club’s commitment to development
was evident through its initiative to provide
free swimming lessons and squad sessions
for all members.
The effort was widely praised by families
and coaches alike and was made possible due
to local sponsorship from the community and
the committee’s fundraising efforts.
Club president Stephen Gillette commended
the swimmers and coaching staff for their
dedication.
“It’s been a fantastic season.
“The progress we’ve seen in the pool is
matched only by the enthusiasm and support
from our club community,” Gillette said.
The highlight of the presentations was the
presentation of the club’s prestigious perpetual
