The Cobar Bowmen’s Club held a shoot on Sunday, their first since the pandemic restrictions were eased.
After taking the rain into consideration and the fact that members haven’t had much practice for the past few months, there were still some good scores recorded.
In the ‘Wheeley’ division Scott Meadows finished with a score of 744 to just edge out Luke Dickson with 738 in his first shoot since retuning home.
In the ‘bent stick’ division Dick Tulloh had a score of 470 followed by Pete Rogers 376 and new comer Lou Stanton with 126.
Stanton started off with a compound (Wheel Bow) then after some mechanical issues, he changed to a recurve bow (bent stick).
First time shooter Amelia Dickson, at just four years old, shot the whole course and had a great score of 316 to be by far the overall winner on the day for effort.—Friar Tuck
