
Another double-header round was played in the Opens Touch competition last Thursday night at Ward Oval as the Round 3 and Round 4 matches combined into one night.
Continuing on from their double winning streak from the previous week in Rounds 1 and 2, Blossoms and Makos, once again recorded double wins Thursday.
They were also joined by Concrete Cowboys who won both of their matches last week.
In their Round 3 game last Thursday, Blossoms were too good for Phat Athletes 5-1 and they also finished as winners in Round 4 over Guns N Hoses, 5-2.
Blossoms scored a total of seven tries for the night with five players, Jack Dunn, Sarah Nicholson, Jaxon Burke, Oisin McMullen and Rowdy Barton all crossing for a try each while Sosie Barton landed two tries for Blossoms on the night.
Makos accounted for the previously unbeaten Kiss My Pass team, 6-4 in their Round 3 match up and then went on to score their second victory of the night when they got the better of Full Tilt, 5-2.
Makos finished the night with a tally of eight tries scored by seven of their players: Jack Brown (2), Jed Noonan, Rhylee Jeffery, Tim Woods, Brianna Watson, David Watson and Tyler Chiswick.
Concrete Cowboys had an easy first up 7-0 win over Guns N Hoses in Round 3 and then finished as 5-2 victors in their late game with Kiss My Pass.
The Cowboys finished with the highest try count for the night with nine tries scored by eight of their players including: Aiden Swan (2) Bridgette Negfeldt, Chris Crotty, Ryan Urquhart, Zac Broughton, James Anderson, Rori Urquhart and Taylah Good.
In the other Round 3 games, Rock Dogs got the better of Fast Fades 3-1 and Full Tilit edged out Rusty Snails to claim a 4-3 victory.
Rusty Snails later recorded a hard fought Round 4 win when they narrowly beat Fast Fades 3-2.
Phat Athletes also finished the night with a win when they accounted for Rock Dogs 4-2.
