There was a big field of 189 players for the Inter Mine Golf Challenge charity golf day on Saturday with players coming from near and far.
Participants experienced four seasons in one day with golfers rained on, windblown, as well as being covered in dust and sunshine.
Peak Gold Mine won the this year’s challenge with a score of 307⅓ net with CSA second (324½) and Endeavor Mine was third with 326⅓ net.
The overall winning mine team was made up of Jacob Ryan, Tristan Rex and Greg Clark representing the Peak Mine who finished with a score of 55 5/6 net.
The Overall Open team winners were Larry Brydon, Jayde Townsend and Steve Manns with a score of 59½ net.
Karen Walsh, Marlene Wynd and Sally Bannister finished as the best ladies team.
The Ladies Nearest the Pin prizes were won on the 3rd hole by Sue Phillips; on the 7th by Sally Bannister; 8th Pam Sikora; 11th Chrissy Gilligan; and 15th Pam Sikora.
The Men’s Nearest the Pin winners were: 3rd hole—Tristan Rex; 7th Tony Harding; 8th Bayley Prendergast; 11th visitor Wez M and 15th Jeff Hunter.
Narelle Kriz recorded the Longest Drive for the ladies and Mark Cummins had the Longest Drive for the men while Jay Egan had the straightest drive of the day.
