There were great soccer skills on display at the Cobar Junior Soccer Club’s matches on Saturday morning which resulted in some very close games.
In the Mids competition, Bengal Tigers beat Black Knights 1-nil in their match, with Lenny Hill scoring a late goal to give the Bengal Tigers the win.
In the other Mids match, Polar Bears beat Redbacks 5-3 with Darcy Geppert responsible for four of Polar Bears goals while Oliver Trantor kicked their other one.
Redbacks’ goals were netted by Preston Olsen, Clayton Harvey and Alfie Hill (who played up from Minis).
The Mids Gumnuts Milkshakes were awarded to Louisa Swanepoel and Cadence Colling.
Corey Compton and Tyson Cooper-Knott won the Cobar Hotbake Donut Awards while Oliver Tranter and Avah Flack-Hogan took home the Shell Slushie prizes…full report in this week’s edition!
