The Cobar Bactrians women’s rugby
team went down to Walgett 6-1 on Saturday
in the Western Plains Rugby women’s
competition game played at Ailsa Fitzsimmons
Memorial Oval.
Sally Schintler scored Cobar’s only try off a
chip and chase effort in the final minutes of
the game.
Best & Fairest points were earned by
Madasan Taylor (3), Sally Schintler (2), Stevie
Toomey and Roisin McGoldrick (1 each).
Madasan Taylor was also voted Players’
Player.
The Bactrians are off to Brewarrina this
Saturday to take on Coonamble in the minor
semi final.
