The Cobar Auto Club held their 2018 end of season presentations on Saturday at the Empire Hotel with trophies handed out to the Overall winners along with their Flat Track and Motocross Tri Series champions.
The club’s Overall Champions for the season were: High Power 50s and 65cc 7-U9 Years—Billy George; 65cc 9-U12 Years and 85cc 9-U12 Years—Zach Snudden; 85cc 12- U16 Years—Kaeleb Saunders; Jnr Ladies—Caitlin Norris; Jnr Lites—Dylan Boland; Snr Lites—Joel Mawhinney; Snr Opens and Over 35s—Dion Fitzsimmons; All Powers—Edward Grabham; Snr Ladies—Jayde George; and Overall Champion—Trent Fullagar.
The Wendy Lawrence Memorial Trophy (awarded to the person who gave it their all on and/or off the track and helping out) for 2018 went to Jason Drady.
The club’s 2018 Tri Series Champions were: High Power 50s and 65cc 7-U9 Years—Billy George; 65cc 9-U12 Years—Blake Fairey; 85cc 9-U12 Years—Sam Cronin; 85cc 12-U16 Years—Kye Cronin; Jnr Lites—Dylan Boland; Jnr Ladies—Caitlin Norris; Snr Lites—Trent Fullagar; Snr Opens and All Powers—Edward Grabham; Over 35s—Lawrence Fairey; and Snr Ladies—Jayde George.
The Cobar Auto Club 2018 Motocross Tri Series Champions were: High Power 50s and 65cc 7-U9 Years—Clay McDonald; 65cc 9-U12 Years and 85cc 9-U12 Years—Zach Snudden; 85cc 12-U16 Years—Josh Scott; Jnr Ladies—Caitlin Norris; Jnr Lites—William Ambrose; Snr Lites, Snr Opens (Peatey Trophy Perpetual) and All Powers Champion—Luke Dinnerville; Over 35s—Dion Fitzsimmons; and Snr Ladies—Jayde George.
The club also held their annual general meeting on Saturday in conjunction with the presentations.
Bonnie Fullagar was returned as president with Trent Fullagar and Jade McDonald elected as vice presidents.
Emma Simmons has stepped into the secretary’s role and Jo-Louise Brown was returned as treasurer along with Jayde George as the club’s publicity officer.
Darren Muldoon, Ces Boland, Beau Snudden, Sean Cox, Kylie McDonald, Todd Negfeldt, Daniel Stephens and Dayle Nicholson were elected to the general committee.
