Art is flourishing in Cobar

Flourish Australia’s regular art workshops at Cobar Bowling & Golf Club continue to attract a good crowd, with yesterday’s large group of eager art enthusiasts making collages over a cup of coffee. Flourish Australia run the regular workshops for the general public to help bring the community together and teach them new skills. The workshops are a community effort, with Cobar Shire Council providing funding to assist the group and catering provided by Cobar High School students. Flourish Australia hopes that by reducing isolation and helping develop friendships with people in the local community, the art groups will assist in improving mental health outcomes.
