There was no change to Cobar Shire Council’s leadership team at the Mayoral elections last week with Cr Peter Abbott returned as Mayor and Cr Jarrod Marsden as Deputy Mayor. Both were re-elected uncontested to their positions at Thursday’s Ordinary Council Meeting. The pair will continue to lead Council until the Local Government elections in December. While Cr Marsden has already made a commitment to stand for another three year term, Cr Abbott is still however unsure if he will stand again due to health reasons.
