A tonne of fun fundraiser

The Cobar Roosters Rugby League Club held a fun fundraiser on Saturday afternoon. Families (including Zara and Lewis Shepherd pictured above) flocked to Tom Knight Memorial Oval for the club’s annual Pig Day Out pig races and kids amusements. Cobar Roosters secretary, Myah Sullivan reports it was a fantastic day with a great crowd and atmosphere. “Thanks to a very generous $8,000 donation from Harmony CSA Mine, this has been our most successful event yet!” Myah said. “Final totals are still being worked out, but one of the highlights was our highest auctioned pig selling for $1,600, proudly sponsored by Out West Ice Cream.” She said the money raised will go towards purchasing a new lawn mower and upgrading the sprinkler system.
