The Easter weekend of the men’s golf competition kicked off with a Stableford game on Friday.
Steve Manns finished as the winner ahead of Greg Clark with Max Phillips third and Bian Smith was back in 4th place.
Nearest the Pin prizes were won on the 3rd hole by Peter ‘China’ Brien; on the 7th by Peter Lawrence; 8th Garry Wilkin; and 15th Matt Russell.
Jay Egan won the second round of the Captain’s Trophy competition which was played as a Stroke event on Saturday.
Stewart Fraser was the runner-up ahead of Mark Fraser (3rd) and Stuart Hamilton (4th).
Egan also won the Nearest the Pin prize on the 3rd hole, Bian Smith picked up the 8th hole prize and the 15th went to Stewart Fraser.
Stuart Hamilton finished as the Monthly Medal competition winner on Sunday.
He won the Stableford game from Ray Yench in second place with Garry Dunn third and Peter ‘China’ Brien was back in 4th place.
Nearest the Pin prizes were won on the 3rd hole by Hamilton; 11th Sam Kershaw; and 15th Brien.
Monday’s scheduled game was washed out by glorious rain.
This Saturday is the Landmark Russell Day and will be played as a Stableford game.
The Empire Day game on Sunday is a Three Person Ambrose.
