Cobar’s Under 16s Junior Rugby League and Under 16s Ladies League Tag teams are making a mark in the Castlereagh competition with both teams finishing the day unbeaten in a knockout competition on Sunday at Coonamble.
The girls played two 20 minute games and won their first match against Dunedoo/Coolah 20-4.
Cobar’s try scorers were Kenzie Edwards (2), along with one each for Ella Oborn, Rhylee Jeffery and Baiza Maliha.
In their second game against Gulgong, it turned into a muck around game as the Gulgong side were short on numbers.
Kenzie Edwards, Ella Oborn and Lara Stephens crossed for tries.
Kenzie also took home the well deserved Coaches Award for the day.
The Cobar Under 16s boys won their first game against Gulgong four tries to one and then defeated Coonamble five tries to two in their second match.
