
Makos are one step closer to an A Grade Touch grand final berth after they accounted for Concrete Cowboys in Thursday’s major semi final match.
Jack Brown touched down for two tries for Makos with Nathan McAndrew and Thomas Plater also crossing for a try each.
The A Grade minor semi final was a thriller with Full Tilt fighting back to finish as narrow 7-6 winners over Kiss My Pass.
Damon Bruce and Jackson Cox scored doubles for Full Tilt with Myah Sullivan and Tommy Bryan also touching down for a try each.
Points for Kiss My Pass came from a try each by Isabelle Gillette, Kayla Hasson and Riki Schaumkell.
Kiss My Pass’s loss now sees them exit the competition.
In tomorrow night’s finals, Concrete Cowboys will take on minor premiers, Blossoms and Makos will play Full Tilt, with the winners of each game to meet in next week’s grand final.
In the B Grade competition last week, third placed Phat Athletes easily accounted for second placed Guns N Hoses 12-1 in their major semi final.
Josh Francisco ran in four tries for Phat Athletes, with Amie Hill, Jezebel Hitchins, Matt McBride, Mitch Shields and Zoë Egan all touching down for a try each.
Tom Edwards was Guns N Hoses’ lone try scorer.
In the B Grade minor semi final, Rock Dogs also had an easy win, beating Fast Fades 10-3.
Kai McCosker led the scoring for Rock Dogs with five tries, Braden Read crossed twice and Ashlee Compton and Tommy Rogers added a try each to their tally.
Fast Fades’ three points came from a try each to Billy George, Jayden Paul and Tommy George.
Fast Fades have now been eliminated from the competition.
