The Cobar 221 Army Cadet Unit held its 33rd End of Year “Dining In” Night at the Cobar Memorial Services Club recently.
A “Dining In” is a formal, military-style dinner ceremony that celebrates the achievements of the unit’s cadets over the past year.
Cadet unit leader, Captain Colleen Boucher AAC, said the event is a chance for cadets, staff, parents and families to come together and witness the end results of the five and six years of dedicated training in a defence supported program.
“This year was a special celebration as we see three senior cadets age out and move on with their lives as working adults,” Captain Boucher said.
“Our special guest this year was Mayor Jarrod Marsden and his wife Kylie, and it was a pleasure to have them support youth development in the local community.”
