
The Cobar lady golfers held their Christmas party and presentation night on Friday at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club.
Beautiful food, drinks, dancing and plenty of laughs were enjoyed by all attendees well into evening.
There were reports of noise complaints but these could not be verified (except on the courtesy bus ride home).
The winners on the night were: A Grade Club Champion—Janet Place, runner-up—Narelle Kriz, Nett winner—Wen Zhang, Nett runner-up—Sally Bannister; B Grade Club Champion—Geraldine Francisco, runner-up—Marlene Wynd, Nett winner—Karen Warren, Nett runner-up—Barb Barklimore; and C Grade champion Ann Dunn.
Janet Place was also the Eclectic winner with a 60 scratch score.
Michelle Rorke had the most reduced handicap of the season (11.7).
In the Putting, Jannine Wilkin had the best three rounds (70) Stableford and Fran Samios had the best three rounds (123) Par.
Geraldine Francisco had best three rounds (+10) Birdies.
Janet Place had 17 Gobblers with Julie Livingston and Ann Dunn finishing the season with nine each.
The Foursomes champions were Sally Bannister and Geraldine Francisco with Janet Place and Sue Phillips the runners-up; the Nett winners were Marlene Wynd and Barb Barklimore with Wen Zhang and Susan Goonrey the runners-up.
The Forward Salver Match Play winner was Sally Bannister.
The Mabel McKenzie Brooch Division 1 winner was Narelle Kriz with Fran Samios out in front in Division 2, Ann Dunn won Division 3 with Susan Goonrey finishing as the Vet winner.
The Country Vets Championships winners were: Division 1 Scratch—Julie Livingston and Nett—Narelle Kriz; Division 2 Scratch—Geraldine Francisco and Nett—Fran Samios; Division 3 Scratch—Barb Barklimore and Nett—Susan Goonrey; and the Senior Vet winner was Fay Hardwick.
The winners of the Phylis Gardoll Championship Trophy were: Janet Place who claimed the A Grade prize, Geraldine Francisco finished out in front in B Grade and the C Grade winner was Ann Dunn.—T’d Off
