Conditions were fine for the weekend’s two big sponsored days of golf.
Saturday was the 63rd year of the Langford Day sponsored Canadian event.
This year’s event attracted 30 players with Geoffrey Langford in attendance to present the winners with their prizes.
Robynne and Peter Lawrence teamed up to win the day recording 65 1/4 nett.
The runners-up on a countback were Jannine and Garry Wilkin over Karen Manns and Alec Fraser (66 1/8 nett each).
Brenda Fugar and Wayne ‘Tweet’ Josephson had 71 5/8 nett for 4th place.
Nearest the Pin winners for the men were Garry Wilkin (3rd hole), Greg Clark (7th) and Alec Fraser on the 8th hole.
On the 8th hole, the winners for the ladies Nearest the Pin competition were Jannine Wilkin (A Grade), Susan Goonrey (B Grade) and Ann Dunn for C Grade…full report in this week’s edition out now!
