Foster claims the Beryl Jones Memorial Trophy

Bright and sunny conditions brought out 24 shooters for the Beryl Jones Memorial Trophy at the Cobar Clay Target Club on Sunday.

A slight breeze helped to keep the shooters alert, and on their toes!

Traditionally a Skeet event starts off the annual event and Steve Zadow, with a score of  24/25, finished as the winner.

Three down-the-line events followed.

In the 30 Target Double Barrel, Robert Thompson finished as the AA Grade winner with a score of 29/30; Zadow and Brad Kendrick were joint winners in A Grade with 30/30 each: Sue Crane also scored 30/30 to win B Grade: and Julianne Foster took out C Grade with 26/30.

Thompson backed up to win the next event, the 25 Target Single Barrel, with 25/25 in AA Grade; Zadow was also back in the winning circle taking out A Grade with 23/25; James Manns claimed the win in B Grade with 20/25; and the C Grade winner was Will Griffiths with 16/25.

Julianne Foster won the main event, the Beryl Jones 30 Target Handicap, with a near perfect score of 29/30.

Second place went to Aiden Barraclough with 27/30 and there was a four-way tie for third place, with Peter Hosie, Tony Rogers, Brad Kendrick and Sue Crane, all finishing with 26/30.
