A lick of paint sure has made a big difference to the façade of the Grand Hotel building in the main street. Cobar Shire Council has purchased the building and painting the exterior is the first step in restoring the 1898 building to some of its former glory. The newly painted exterior will also provide a fresh backdrop for the world’s biggest beer can, which is soon to receive a new Tooheys wrap.
