Magpies swooped to pick up the points

G’day sports fans, this week the Reggies were up for a long drive to Baradine to find a few Yowies in the Pilliga Forrest, and while they didn’t come across any Yowies they did run into a strong team of Magpies in their third Reserve Grade match of the 2024 Castlereagh Rugby League competition.

Cobar’s Reynolds Reggies were down on troops and were also missing their captain on the field this week.

Baradine, seeing Cobar’s light looking bench, didn’t take long to show some muscle and dominate the game.

Watching Dallas Josephson rolling up to the game in the big Kenworth road train straight from Adelaide, you just knew he was here to play some old school footy.

Josephson was in every tackle and was turning the ball three times each set.

The crowd was even saying he was that quick that he would play the ball and before Marty “feet for hands” Turton could pass the ball from dummy half, and then Josephson would be receiving the ball for another hit up.

Seeing this 58 year old man play in glorious technicolor inspired the likes of Beau Christopherson and Benjamin Griffiths to follow suit…For more Reggie’s report see this week’s edition.
