The Cobar Athletics & Triathlon Squad (CATS) Club hosted a scratch triathlon event (300m swim, 10km ride and 2km run) on
Australia Day at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool. Pictured are the prize winners: Kyle Seymour (JKM Dynamic Best on Field); Amie Hill (Gumnut Gifts 1st female with a time of 43 minutes 11 seconds); [CATS president Greg McKervey]; Tom Summerhayes (Gumnut Gifts 1st male with a time of 31min 21sec) and the first finishing team Charlie’s Angels (Charlie Nicholson, Jaxon Burke and Henry Knight) who completed the course in 37min 31sec. Absent from the photo was Axel Fairfull, who was the BRilliams 1st junior finisher with a time of 36min 27sec. This year the seniors event was followed by a Mini Triathlon (33m swim, 500m ride and 300m run) which attracted 11 participants ranging from 5-12 years. Charlie Nicholson finished with the best time of 5min 10sec followed closely by Cooper Trudgett (5.35) with Hannah Trudgett the fastest girl at 5.50 with Isabelle Gillette narrowly behind on 5.56.
