The Cobar Ladies’ Golf Club Championships were played on the weekend over 54 holes with Jenny Stephenson (123) in A Grade, Fran Samios (144) in B Grade and Daphne Cross (170) in C Grade the overnight leaders going into the second day.
Stephenson increased her lead on Sunday and won the A Grade title with a scratch score of 242 from runner-up Julie Livingston on 275. Sally Bannister won the Net division in A Grade with 230 and Narelle Kriz was the runner-up with 236 net.
Trailing by four shots going into Sunday, Jannine Wilkin (293) was able to catch the leaders and win the B Grade title by nine shots over Fran Samios (302). The Net winner was Geraldine Francisco on 229 while Brenda Fugar was the runner-up with 235 net. Daphne Cross had a 10 shot head start on Sunday in C Grade and held on to win by eight shots with 336 from Ann Dunn on 344.
